Wim Poort (1963) is a Dutch portraitist. Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kampen he specialized in portraiture, sportsportraits, and portraits in a classical environment, both in oil and watercolour. His view on portraiture: A portrait is a translation in paint. I paint what I see and even more what I feel. Likeness is essential, but for me the added value lies in catching ones personality. Thats the wonder of a good portrait
